In The Heart Of A Little Girl

If I could talk, then you would know;
I never wanted you to leave.
If I could walk, then you would know;
I would have followed everywhere you go.
If I could run, then you would know;
After you, I would have chased;
Just to see your face another day.

Daddy, why did you leave me?
"I didn't."
Did I do something wrong?
"No, Princess."
Was it my fault?
"No, baby girl."
Do you still love me?

"Yes, my little love, my Princess Dove.
Daddy has, and will always love you.
You are too young to understand now.
Relationships don't always go the way we plan.
Regardless of what mom and dad go through,
Always remember it has nothing to do with you.
We still love you from that day you were conceived.
We both will still love you for eternity; please believe.
You are our little star of light;
You are our hope and dream, our joy.
That's how much to us you mean.
I feel the pain when I'm away;
Sharp pains in my heart; I cannot bear it
When your beautiful face I cannot see.
Wishing to be there every day.
Wishing that your mom and I will reunite, I pray.
You deserve better, my love.
We will do better; you'll see"...

As I look towards the door.
"Is it my Daddy, Mum?"
